Default Change Gold Z-coin Amount for Exotic Weapons

So I was looking through the exotic list and it costs 30 gold z coins for an exotic weapon. That was all fine and good before the release of Envoy weapons, but the effect Envoy weapons had on the trade value(value based on Largest Equipment Pack prices) changed dramatically. You used to be able to buy the biggest equip. packs for 15e roughly. 30 gold z-coins is 60e by market value now which is a huge jump in price. It is actually cheaper to buy PvE versions of the weapons on the exotic list and give them to PvP characters. The price needs to be lowered.

The economy is expected to change. When something new and shiny comes out you should see high prices on it. If it is cheaper to buy PvE versions then do so, but don't expect the prices to be lowered.

The prices didn't go up though lol. The envoy weapons were introduced and the zcoins became trade-able. The z-coins never had an actual value before besides items that were sold after using them. Once they were trade-able, their value went way up due to the new weapons that were introduced. They went from 15e for the bags to 60e for them. That is a huge jump. That is equivalent to ecto prices going from 8k to 32k each over night. That isn't the kind of economy change you are talking about lol.

Not really, 20 slot bags (15 gold zcoins) have been stable around 30e from long before the zaishen weapons came out. Except coins were not sellable, so people traded them directly for zkeys.

This means people are idiots, not that price has gone up. Aka, nothing's changed.

The only exotic weapons that cost 30 gold coins or more are HoM items, crystalline sword, banana scythe and the envoy weapons. Paying 60e for a crystalline sword is kinda cheap don't you think?

If you're after HoM items, do exactly what you suggested:

Actually, he's almost right.

HEP were around 15e before the coins were trade-able, once that started they jumped to ~23ish, if youre paying 60e for them you are just plain stupid and dont know anything about the market atm.

The OP said that 30 gold zcoins are ~60e. Since the bags are 15 coins, he's saying that they've doubled in price to ~30e which isn't far wrong. I've got them on several characters, and I never paid more than 13e for them.

Imo, making the coins tradable was one of the stupidest things ANet has done in ages. What they should have done with those new weapon skins is include a rare chance for a tradable trophy in the strongboxes which can be swapped for the Envoy weapon of the players' choice - and left the zcoin system unchanged.

Anyway, I agree that the prices for most things need to be adjusted. The value of the zcoins has gone through the roof since most of that stuff was introduced. Right now, the whole market is dictated by the price of the Envoy weapons.

So /signed.
